Thanksgiving

Well, hello everybody. Thanksgiving week was nuts, but okay overall. Between Ejay, me and my sister Lisa, we managed to have a decent Turkey, and all the trimmings. Tricia and Danny brought some pies, and we all played cards. Then on Saturday we went to the Doctor, Brenden has the crup, Bella has a cold, and I have a sinus infection. Yay, we are all sick. Oh, well, hopefully with all the meds, we will get better. Saturday afternoon we went to Nana's house to have Thanksgiving with my Husband Family, it was nice. Don't have any pictures though. Yesterday, we went Cacheing. It's were you go to this website and you get cordinates to a cache, and if you find it, you write your name down, some have little trinkets in them, it was so much fun, and it's FREE. My husband went hunting yesterday with his brother in law and bought a GPS for the trip, and he can use it for work too, which is cool. Anyway, we looked up three, and we found two, Brenden had a blast, one of the cache had some trinket in it and Brenden picked a little seahorse trinkey, and we left a bell trinket. It was fun, now my husband is on his lunchbreak and is doing it at work. It is going to be an addiction I think, one of our weekend things.

Fun and Hard Weekend

On Saturday we had some friends over that we only get to see a few times a year. It was fun we had my Alfredo Lasagna, and Chocolate Chip Cookies, and my friend brought chesse pastries, and salad. It was all good. Then we watched The Longest Yard, it was cute, but had alot of Adult language and stuff in it. Then we played Poker and talked till 1 am. Haven't done that in a long time. It was nice. So I was in a good mood. Then Sunday came. Ejay got up with the kids, cause he got to bed earlier then I did Saturday, cause Brenden woke up and I stayed up with him till almost 3 am. Anyway, they got up Sunday around 7 and at about 8 Ejay start hollaring for me to get up, cause the kids were driving him nuts. Anyway, the kids were crazy, hyper(even after we went out to play) and grumpy all day long. Which by 1 pm I had a migraine so bad I had to take some migraine excedrin and go lay down, I didn't wake up till 430pm, and I still had a slight headache. And Ejay had one too. It was funky. Then around dinner we all started feeling better. After dinner we put up the Christmas tree. It was funny, Brenden was putting the ornaments on the tree, every time he got one on, Bella would walk over, take it off, and put it back in the box, it was so funny. But we managed to get it up, and after the kids went to bed, I wrapped all the presents we had got so far, and started making out my Christmas Cards. I am determined not to be a last minute person this year.
Finally figured out what the awful smell in Brenden's toy room is. I have already Shampooed the carpet twice, and put a pet deoderizer on it. Brenden has been Peeing in the floor when he is mad. It is a new part of his fits he throws when he is in trouble and doesn't want to go to time out or get a spanking, Ejay caught him last night and made him help clean it up, then he got a spanking and had to go to bed. I don't know what to do, it seems whatever I try doesn't work, spanking, time outs, taking toys away, focusing, whatever. Can't get anything that works steadily. Hopefully this new technique I saw on TV will work. It's for children who are Autistic, or who have severe ADHD, it's a board that has the days activities on it, and when one activity has been done, you take it off the board, it's to make it more strutured, so am starting it today, and so far is going ok. Will blog some more later.

Hi

Hi everybody, Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. The whole family, except for husband came down with the Flu, and it has taken a couple weeks to get it gone. We all still have runny noses, though. Well, we got a little bit done on the Lake Forest house last week. Husband took some days off and spent some time with us. He took the kids to the park, and they had a blast. His personally the week before that versus the week he stayed home were night and day. I know he must be having a rough time at work lately, and he's tired and stressed, not to mention, sad that he doesn't get to spend as much time with us as he would like.
Well on to other things. Husband got me three new cookbooks last weekend, the first two Paula Deen cookbooks, and one on Semi Homemade that is for desserts. Tried some of the bread recipes, and they were good. But haven't done much else. Although the recipes sound good, and most are easy. Bella is fussy, so will Blog some more later.

Sick Again

Oh, well. Bella got a cold this weekend, and now I have it too. What fun. Well, haven't been doing too much, we are so behind on the Lake Forest house it's not funny. I told Ejay, I'm going to call the contractor and have them do it, that way we can at least get it on the market, even if we just break even. Any suggestions, let me know. I made Pecan Chocalate Chip Banana Muffins on Monday from the Sweetnicks blog, they are really good, it's like the fourth time I've made them, last time I made them I put some apples in them too, they were good. I made a Chocalate Cake today, the one on the back ot the Hershey's Cocoa box, and I'm going to make the icing too, it is good, have made it before, today is my Husband's bday. I am ashamed to admit it, but I've remembered it all week and have planned for it, but this morning, I forgot to tell him Happy Birthday, I have been so sick, and the kids were nuts this morning. I am such a bad wife. Told him right after he reminded me what day it was. Anyway, am making the cake, and am going to try to make a spinach or broccoli alfredo lasagna for him for dinner, he's been asking for me to try to make one, I have NO recipe for it, just going to wing it, maybe it will be good. Will let you know. I know I'm going to use the jarred sauce, just cause I really feel awful today, but next time will try to do it all homemade. Will post if it turns out well.
